We haven’t posted for a while but had a look back through the archives to find some group photos over the past few years. One constant, my shirt! Note to self, wear a different shirt for the next group photo!
Had fun writing this one, consulting publications from Werner, Rosenberg and others. Great work by Michael Huxley and Rosie Young and involving our University of Nottingham collaborator Neil Champness.
Check out the paper here.
Our collaborative effort involving the Falcaro and White groups at TU Graz and ANU respectively, “Enzyme Encapsulation on a Porous Hydrogen-Bonded organic Framework” just accepted in J. Am. Chem. Soc. We have found a new application for HO(F)Fs!
Michael Huxley’s PhD journey has been completed with the handing over of a beautifully bound version of the thesis. Lots of nice work including a recently published contribution to a themed issue of Organometallics covering Organometallic Chemistry in MOFs.
Michael Huxley's paper on using MOFs as a protecting group to facilitate site selective reactions was accepted by JACS. This work is part of a our Adelaide-Nottingham collaboration which is reaping dividends. See Protecting-Group-Free Site-Selective Reactions in a Metal–Organic Framework Reaction Vessel
The sommelier chemist recommended a reading to be paired with a bottle of 2015 Shaw and Smith Shiraz. Don't let a lack of wine prevent you from reading the paper though!
